Disney World day 2 afternoon

Day 2 in the Magic Kingdom was much more crowded and hotter than the first day. By the afternoon it was hot and we were getting tired.

The girls begged to watch the parades as soon as music started playing in the park.

HK got to dance with Mr. Incredible, one of her heroes!

Sharing a frozen drink. So cute!

Knowing that we were planning to be in the park until after 10pm to watch the electric parade and fireworks we took a break in the afternoon and went back to the hotel. If you know Jared you know he cannot stand to be still so we decided that next time he stays at the park and the girls and I go back and rest! The girls and I enjoyed an hour in the air conditioning even if Jared was sweating pacing the floor! Look at these girls curled up together playing on the Ipad while Jared and I ate a late lunch in the room. Aren't theu so cute?!?!?!?

After we'd recovered we went to the restaurant in our hotel. These pictures show MUCH happier girls than we had when leaving the park a few hours before.

The girls wanted to sit by Daddy for dinner. So sweet!

Goofy faces.

We got back in the park ready for a few more rides and the nighttime activities.

Most fun ride? The people mover. Ha! Who even thinks to ride this? No one, so it was easy to ride more than once. It is just an open cart that goes above and through some of the rides in the Magic Kingdom. It does go into the darkness of Space Mountain and you see falling stars. Our girls think they rode Space Mountain and we didn't correct them....just don't worry when you hear them say it because no, we didn't put them on roller coasters! And I love that Stuffy the dragon and Belle were still along. Those stuffed guys went all over the parks.

Whaaa hooo!

We were waiting for something, can't remember what, and Jared started making faces at the girls. They, and everyone else in line, were cracking up!

Meeting Buzz Lightyear. After two days of princesses HK was excited to meet some of her favorites.

Each girls got to pick one thing to buy while we were there. HK was attached to a sleeping baby Mickey early on the first day. She never waivered so we made sure to go back to the store we found him before the parade started. We did not want to leave the Magic Kingdom and not be able to find him somewhere else. Smart move. She never changed her mind and we never found him anywhere else. Once HK has her mind set on something she is pretty persistent!

Everyone needs a picture in front of the castle.

Next up? A night of lights and fireworks!

Merida!!!!

One of the highlights of Matney's trip was meeting Merida, the new Disney princess from Brave. We knew going into the trip that no matter how long the wait we had to get Miss M and Merida together. Thankfully, the line was under 20 minutes that morning and they had a coloring table and bow and arrow sets (kid friendly) to entertain the kids while they waited.

Matney is at the bottom left of the screen and HK is the one in the hat trying to be tall enough to see on the table.

Ta da! The sun was coming through the trees right onto where Merida took pictures so it is hard to see their faces in any of these.

Happy girls!

Disney World day 2 morning

We started day 2 of Disney headed back to the Magic Kingdom and this time we rode the ferry. The girls loved being on a big boat. We watched the train bring Mickey and his friends to open the park and then we ran to get in line for Tinkerbell. We'd tried to meet her the day before but the line was over and hour. No thanks!

Tinkerbell and her sister Periwinkle live in a really cool place!

Matney and Halle Kate were both excited to meet the fairies!

Periwinkle and Tinkerbell meet in the new movie that came out on DVD while we were in FL. Now that we've watched it we know that they are long lost sisters! The girls think it is so cool that they already met them.

After we met the fairies we went on the Jungle Cruise. Halle Kate is learned the word "terrified" from her Daddy when she thought a giant, hairy tarantula was a skeleton hand. Halle Kate is more than terrified of skeleton hands. Once she quit screaming, crying and flailing enough for us to convince her it was giant spider she was fine and got on the ride. Halle Kate is not terrified of giant, hairy spiders. Gotta love her! And now that she's added the word terrified to her vocabulary she really enjoys using it all the time.

Giant, hairy spider and snapping crocodiles. HK was in heaven!

We also went back to the carousal and Matney decided to finally be brave enough to ride a horse and not on a bench. She was nervous at first but so VERY proud of herself once the ride started. Super fun!

Daddy's little buddy.

Another favorite? Peter Pan!

Pumpkin Patch

***Edited to add - don't know why this is posting early. There are Halloween pics on the correct date so scroll down. Sorry.

We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and it was cold! Brrr! The girls had a great time pulling wagons, picking pumpkins, riding on the hay ride and hanging out with friends. Such a fun morning!

It must be nice to be a boy! Caleb was telling us how he was able to pee on the ground and not need a potty. Clearly we thought he was too funny!

We met a very, very friendly cow.

Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me! Want to know why you've seen blog updates finally? Because my husband got me a new laptop! YAY!!!!! It does all the things our old laptop does not....like turn on and off! Love it! When we got engaged my mom and her friend made us sweatshirts that say "She said yes!" with the date so I made sure to show my shirt off (ok, its Jared's shirt, mine is getting too small over this belly) in these pictures. Thanks, Jared. I LOVE my laptop and you!
