Bucket Head

A bucket of water can keep this girl happy and wet for hours! She's so goofy. Between these two girls I am pretty sure that 2010 will be a year we visit the urgent care more than once. Not long after I took these she walked right into the corner of the table, probably because she couldn't see where she was going!

Spring has Sprung

Thank goodness gracious alive Spring has arrived!!! WHOOO HOOO! I never knew how long the winter could be until I had two small children and we were stuck inside. Since it started warming up we'd taken full advantage of every opportunity to be outside (Well, we did until the pollen made our yard yellow and the snot started. Now I'm ready for a good rain to wash it away!). Here's a fabulous weekend picnic complete with highchairs, black beans and pinwheels!

In case you're wondering Matney's puppy dog is still around and so is the Elmo chair. The chair looks the same, the puppy got a makeover!

Meet Chuck..HK the Woodchuck

Halle Kate's new name at our house is Chuck, as in Woodchuck. She was bouncing around in her bed a few weeks ago not taking a nap but I left her up there since she was happy. Eventually she did fall asleep and I assumed all was well. However, when she woke up and I went to get her I realized that she had been quite a busy beaver...literally. Check her out. This is a close up of about 4" of the rail of her crib. Another couple feet look just like this. The finish is gone and the wood is dented. Rotten little stinker!

Happy Easter!

I searched for just the right Easter dresses for the girls and I think we found them. I HEART SMOCKING! The first Sunday of the month Jared and I work in the nursery, which I forgot about when planning outfits, so for taking pictures I threw a dress on but then changed and went to church in pants. We ran outside just before leaving, put the camera on the playset fort and hit the automatic picture taking button. The girls are laughing in all these pictures, they thought it was so funny that daddy was running to the camera and then running back yelling "say cheese". Here are some attempts at family shots. Apparently I thought the I needed to duck down to make it into the frame so enjoy my bent legs and several feet of sky above!

Another try together

After we brought the girls inside we had a few minutes before we had to leave for church so I tried to get them to sit together for a few more pictures. Clearly Matney had better things to do. Halle Kate was full of smiles like always.

Guess who came to see M? Target!

While picking out things for M's Easter basket at Target several days ago my mom made the comment that this is the last year I'll be able to take Matney with me (because she was riding in the front of the cart as I tossed things in.). When the Easter stuff came home it stayed in bags in the dining room and Matney didn't play with anything. This morning when M woke up Jared and I went in and pointed her basket out to her. I said, "Look, Matney. What is all that?". Matney immediately replied, "Presents. From Target.". Ha! I guess she's already old enough to remember and too old to shop with Mama! I hope the Easter Bunny will come visit next year so that Target is off duty!

Beautiful Day

Jared took the day off and we spent a beautiful day at the zoo this morning, played in the yard this afternoon and then went out to dinner and walked around The Avenue. This evening we spent time dying eggs and playing in the yard. Many pictures to come but here are some happy swinging girls. Every time you stop the swing Halle Kate screams and cries. I think she would swing all day if we let her!
