CHOA Round 2

See this sweet girl using both of her arms?

Poor baby wasn't able to do that last night...AGAIN! And we spent some quality time at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care...AGAIN! About 6pm last night Matney was dancing with her Daddy when she started SCREAMING. We thought she just was mad about something so I took her and tried to calm her down. It took me a good while to get her quiet and when I did Jared said "Is she using her left arm?". We watched her and NOPE! No left arm movement (insert thoughts of bad words here). Long story short we tried everything to make her use that arm and it just hung by her side. Unlike last month this time it was obviously really painful and she screamed if we tried to touch her. I called our fabulous friend Brooke, who has been dealing with her own sick kiddo this week (and who we owe BIG TIME), and she ran over to keep Halle Kate while we rushed to get to CHOA before it closed. There was a 2 1/2hour wait when we got there but because we had just been for the same injury they saw us immediately. The same doctor saw us and her arm was popped back into place less than 15 minutes after we arrived (insert big sigh of relief). We had to hang out for a while and see the dr again to make sure she was ok. Last time I was pretty calm...this time I cried. Being a parent is NOT for the faint of heart.

Matney apparently is going to be more susceptible to this injury, something about the length of her bones vs. the length of her ligaments. You will all be glad to know she should outgrow it by the time she is 5. Did I mention that she is only 17 months now. No worries, twice in less than a month and only 40 something more months until she's 5. NO PROBLEM!!!

And yes, that is Dog wearing a bathrobe. Matney or Dog seem to be living in the Abby Cadabby bathrobe these days. Silly girl!
