Let's go fly a kite!

A few weeks ago we were at Costco, my mom was with us and walking with Matney. Mom said, "it's windy outside" and Matney responded with something that Mom didn't understand so she asked me to figure out what Matney kept repeating. I asked Matney to repeat it a couple times and then it clicked. Matney has had an Elmo kite since she was too little to walk. She saw it often in the garage and every time she asked I'd told her it was a kite and we had to wait until it was windy to fly it. Jared moved the kite to the attic a while ago so we hadn't had that conversation in several months. Bless her though, the kid remembers everything. All it took was one person to say the word "windy" and Matney was immediatly begging to go fly her kite "just like Barney". We were all so astonished that there really was no choice but to go home, find the kite, wave bye to MoMo and head to the park. We all had a great time!
