***I am trying to get the picture from this summer up. I'll post them here for now and then move them to the correct month in a few weeks. Pretty much from the second week of June until about 6 weeks ago I didn't take one picture or blog one time. Weeks 6- 20 of pregnancy are NO JOKE if you're sick!
One day in June my mom came in town and we surprised the girls with a trip to Babyland General Hospital - aka The Cabbage Patch. They'd been once before but both girls and MoMo had been asking to go.
Don't you like HK in a dress? She was willing to wear this one because "it has a belt like Daddy".
We played with and rocked lots of babies.
Women everyehere all wish that birthing babies could be as simple as plucking them from a cabbage leaf!
MoMo let each girls pick a doll. Out of thousands of available choices HK attached herself to this baby early on. She carried it around the entire time we were there and never changed her mind. The footie jammies, HK's personal favorite clothing option, won her over. That baby is wearing a purple polka dot outfit that says "Daddy's Princess". Once you've paid for your doll you can go to an adoption room where a "nurse" fills out the birth certificate for you. We'd all like to introduce you to the newest member of the family....Pizza Guy Heald. Gotta love it! We tried to convince HK that this was a girl doll (you know, wearing purple outfit with princess on it) but she wasn't having it. The gender was changed on the birth certificate and we brought him home. Since it is really Nov when I am writing this I can tell you that MoMo's money was well spent. Pizza Guy has had his own crib for months, it stays beside HK's bed. Every night she tucks him in and almost every morning she remembers to get him up and leaves him on her bed with a toy.
Matney had a very hard time making up her mind which doll she wanted. We had to walk back through the patch several times looking at all her choices. Eventually she picked Alaina Clara the most dressed up, all purple, bows in her hair wearing ruffles doll she could find. Her doll already came with that name so we didn't get to experience any more naming creativity. Both girls added a baby doll bottle to their purchase and were very happy to rock their new babies on the porch outside.
